Because of its luxurious texture and feel, suede sofa has become a popular choice among furniture buyers. However, keeping a suede couch clean and stain free can be a problem especially if you have kids or pets around the house.

  1. Take preventive measure

Applying protective coating on your suede couch will help ensure that the couch is water and stain-proof. Purchase special suede protectors and apply it regularly to keep your couch fresh and clean.



  1. Dust off your sofa using special suede brush

If you have pets or kids who love jumping on your sofa, frequent dusting should be done to avoid permanent stain to form on the surface of the suede materials. Using a special suede napping brush, do a quick cleaning on the surface of your suede couch to remove dust, food crumbs, hair, or dirt.

Before applying any chemical, remember to read the instructions carefully. Apply first in an inconspicuous part of your sofa to see how the chemical will react on the suede materials.

Stain repellent only works for a certain period of time. To ensure that your sofa is properly protected all the time, reapply stain repellent or waterproofing products as needed.
